You are welcome here, no matter what you look like or what you’re wearing.

We typically begin with an engaging time of worship that includes singing, reading Scripture, praying, and giving of our financial resources.  We also open God’s Word together, usually teaching sequentially through books of the Bible.  Services are a little more than an hour in length.

A safe place for children where God is the hero.

Children learn from The Gospel Project. This is an exciting, Christ-centered approach that takes children chronologically through the Bible. During these lessons, Christ is central and all stories lead back to Jesus and what He has done for us.

We offer nursery and children’s classes through fifth grade during the 10:30 am service. Our classroom workers have been thoroughly screened and trained in order to provide your child with a safe, healthy church experience.

Benevolence Offering

We will be collecting our quarterly benevolence offering during this Sunday’s service. This month’s offering will help with the cost of our annual Belle Stone Elementary Outreach. Please prayerfully consider giving.

Student Ministries

Students 6-12th grade are invited to an outdoor movie night Saturday, September 5 at 7:30pm at Hannah Bauguess’ home (2608 Massillon Road Akron). Please RSVP to mself@parksidechurch.com. Dinner will be included. Wednesday night small groups will meet next week in the Student Center 7:00-8:30pm.

Young Professionals Retreat

All Young Professionals (post-college) are invited to our first annual retreat September   11-12 in Cleveland. Pastor Dan Southam will be our speaker; cost is $30. Please RSVP to Jenny at  jmault@yahoo.com.

Church Breakfast

Sunday, September 6 we will have a church breakfast in the Student Center at 9:15am. Last names A-M (egg dish/breakfast casserole/fruit), last names N-Z (baked good/juice/milk).

Car Maintenance Outreach Opportunity

All are invited on Saturday, September 19, for a basic car maintenance class in the church parking lot. Sessions will be offered at 9am and 11am; each session is limited to 5 individuals. Please contact Mike King at michaelking013@gmail.com to RSVP or for more information. For those in financial need with car maintenance, please contact the church office.

Primetimer’s Luncheon

If you are age 50+, you are invited to join in a tasty meal and fellowship “Italian Style” in Room 116 on September 20 following the service. Bring your favorite Italian dish or dessert, or even just your favorite dish – whatever the type! Service Opportunity for College Students

There is an ongoing need for support for children with special needs during Kids’ Church. We are looking for volunteers to serve once every 5 Sundays during the 10:30am hour. Any help will be appreciated – college students could volunteer as a team of one or preferably two. There is no advance preparation involved, just showing up and serving as an “aide” to help our children with autism and other special needs participate in songs, Bible story, games, etc. Please call or text June Ring at 330-571-1750, or email at jmring@neo.rr.com, if you are interested.

Our articles of faith bind us together

We are an Evangelical church centured on Jesus, focused on our community.

The Bible
The scriptures of the Old and New Testament as being verbally inspired by God and inerrant and infallible in the original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority.
In one God eternally existing in one essence, yet co-equal persons, the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
That Jesus Christ was begotten by God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born to the virgin Mary.
The Holy Spirit
In the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He is the life of the believer and He empowers the preaching and teaching of the Gospel.
Image of God
That mankind was created in the image of God, sinned, and thereby incurred not only physical death, but spiritual death, which is separation from God, and that human beings are born with a sinful nature.
That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood.
The Resurrection
In the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, His ascension into heaven and His present life there as High Priest and Advocate for us.
That all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again by the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God and heirs of eternal life.
In the existence of a personal devil, who is still working in the world to destroy the souls of men and that he and all his angels and all who do not receive Christ as their personal Savior will eternally perish in the lake of fire.
The Church
In the Church, whose mission it is to preach the Scriptures to all the world, all of its endeavors being guided by multiple leadership and supported by the wise stewardship of God’s people.
That the ordinances of the Church, given by the Lord, are Baptism and the Lord’s Table (Communion).
Adam Romans

Adam Romans

Lead Pastor

Adam Romans joined the pastoral team in October 2008. He received his education from the Moody Bible Institute and is pursuing his M.Div. from Covenant Theological Seminary. Before joining the Parkside team he served as a youth and music pastor at another church. Adam preaches most Sunday mornings and oversees the ministry on the Green Campus. He and his wife, Christina, have three children: Lydia, Ben, and Julia. In Adam’s spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and long distance running.

Jonathan Holmes

Jonathan Holmes

Campus Pastor, Counseling

Jonathan joined the Parkside team in October 2008 as a campus pastor at the Green Campus. He oversees Life Groups, Bible study and Community Groups at Green and the counseling ministries at both campuses. Jonathan graduated with degrees in Biblical Counseling and History from The Master’s College and has a master’s degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Jonathan and his wife, Jennifer, have three daughters: Ava, Riley, and Ruby. Jonathan enjoys traveling, reading, politics and spending time with his family.



Carolyn Arny

Children’s Director

Carolyn Arny joined the Parkside staff in August 2013. She graduated from Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, IL, and serves as the Children’s Ministry Coordinator at the Green Campus. Carolyn and her husband, Curtis, have 5 children: Skyler, Taya, Myana, Sawyer, and Kavian. As a family they have a heart for adoption, missions, and children in the foster care system. Carolyn also enjoys reading, music, cooking, and gathering with extended family and friends over a meal or cup of coffee.

John Yany

John Yany

Pastoral Assistant

Originally from Cairo, Egypt, John Yany is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute with a degree in Music and Missions.  In the fall of 2012, he came to Parkside Church Bainbridge Campus as an intern, then joined the pastoral staff full-time in the summer of 2013.  He currently helps coordinate the youth and music programs for Parkside Church Green Campus, and has a strong desire for young people to know and love Christ more.
